Will You Watch and Pray An Hour?

Every Tuesday, at 7p.m., in the Eucharistic Chapel of the Church, we pray a Holy Hour together. Please come for some thanks and praise to God.

Every First Friday, immediately following the 8:30am Mass until 5:00p.m., we open our Eucharistic Chapel for perpetual adoration. We invite all parishioners to join us for a holy hour of adoration. The prayer ends with benediction at 5:00pm.

The Pastoral Council has made it its goal for the coming year to establish 24x7 prayer (prayer at St. Mary Magdalen occurring 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!). Please pray for the team who is working on this project to make St. Mary Magdalen known as a permanent house of prayer.

Gratitude Opportunities

It's the Year of Gratitude at St. Mary Magdalen! Try to thank God once an hour! How? When you hear a clock chime (or watch chime, or church bells ring), say a quick prayer of thanksgiving to God.

It's the Year of Gratitude at St. Mary Magdalen! As a way to celebrate, think about starting a gratitude journal. At the end of the day, write down (or think about) 5 things that happened during the day that you are grateful for. Perhaps it was the person who let you cut into line, or the wonderful meal your spouse prepared, or a smile given by someone you passed in the grocery store. It doesn't have to be a major thing (or it can be), but what is important is to express thanks to God for at least 5 things that happened during the day! Do this every day throughout the year!
