A six-week peer support program for children ages 5-13 who are dealing with loss through separation, divorce or other painful transitions.

The program recognizes the needs of grieving children and the change families experience in a positive way regardless of age, gender and the type of loss. The Rainbows program also helps adults understand how children perceive the loss and how to help them get beyond it with unique approaches through play-based activities.

The children are divided into age groups with age appropriate activities. The parents have their own group in which they discuss the activities the child will be having and are helped to understand how to respond to situations which can arise from these activities.

The program is scheduled to begin in September, on a Monday evening from 5:30 – 7:00.  The first half hour is a social time, pizza will be served.  Registration is necessary, and a parent is required to attend. Please call Rosemary Kazyk @ 407-831-1212, 223 at the Church office for questions and to register for the program.
