LIFE SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT MINISTRY Resources
The
Spiritual Development Ministry focuses on developing, implementing, and supporting
programs that enhance the spirituality of the family. Besides the Family Mass,
creating an Advent Wreath for the Family, promoting the Family Reconciliation
Service at SMM and the Living Stations of the Cross in the Diocese during Lent,
we hope to offer during May a Living Rosary for families.

HISPANIC
FAMILY MINISTRY This
group's goal is to lend support to Hispanic families with young children. At the
present time, they are seeking to develop small groups who meet in homes twice
a month on the second and fourth Fridays of the month. They also would like to
have family picnics with Mass. This ministry is planning to organize a retreat
for families called IMPACTO to enrich and support family life. They are looking
for volunteers for all activities. |

Events
This
eight-week course is for any mother (married, single, divorced, widowed, stepmother,
grandmother, etc.) all ages welcome, interested in developing self-esteem, relationship
skills, and deepening her sense of spirituality. Those who attend develop deep
personal friendships and become eager to reach out to our parish family to share
their gifts and strengths in the future. Three women who are trained by the Diocese
of Orlando act as facilitators for the program. We offer an evening and morning
program in the Fall and the Spring. The group is limited to 10 participants each
session. Childcare is available upon request. Cost is $30 for materials, but no
one will be denied due to lack of funds. For more information contact
Regina March. For photos from this year's Celebration of New Beginnings dinner

MOTHERS'
GROUP Resources
Photos Events
This
is a group of mothers who come together every other Tuesday morning in Annex #
7 from 9:15-11 AM to share friendship and faith, support each other emotionally
and physically, and enrich their personal and family lives through informative
speakers, discussions, and group activities. They also reach out to serve women
in the parish who have recently become mothers or who have lost a child through
miscarriage. |
THE
SUPPER CLUB
This
ministry seeks to help families get to know different families in our parish.
It includes singles of all ages as well as Single Parent families. After signing
up for this ministry, a coordinator will assign a group of families (usually between
4-5) to meet at the home of a designated family. The next month families will
rotate. Each month the family at whose home the gathering will be held informs
the other families to bring part of the meal. This is a great way to meet others
in our Parish in a new and exciting way. Sign up to chair this group or to participate.
