Over 50 couples renewed their vows and celebrated landmark anniversaries
on Celebrate Marriage Sunday 2010. Father Ed Thompson officiated
at the 12 noon Mass. Dawn Rivas, Grace Hennessey, and Mary Jo
Nocero co-chaired the event and special recognition was given
to the longest married couples: Mary and Jim Walsh (67 years),
Anita and Jeremiah McCarthy and Francis and Daniel Dingman (63
years) and most recently married couple: Lauren and Greg Pearlman
(1 month).
We had three
couples who celebrated their 25th Anniversary: Jim and Cathie
Bucko, Joseph and Debbie Sardone, and Rodolfo and Cynthia Galvan.
We had one couple celebrating 60 years: Don and Marie Grabosky,
and four couples celebrating 50 years: Larry and Mary Ann Scotchie,
Patricia and Edgar Fleri, Pat and Jack Blanchard, and Gene and
Joan Kovacik.
Over 15 couples
celebrated 50 years or more. Lectors for this special event were
Mary Jo and Mike Nocero, Lauren & Rich Coln, Les and Fran Cowie,
and Liz and Dan Copeland. Hospitality couples were Carol and Joe
Spinella, Ann Marie and Gary Couture, Margie and Anthony Bastolla,
Terry and Paul Bouchard, and Steve and Cindy Nolder.
Photographers
were Veronica Dailey, assisted by Yolanda Dobbins and John Rice
assisted by Ann Rice. Carol Vivera made the corsages and Maureen
Castille, Marjorie Ward, Lidia Kinsey, Rosemary George, Brett
and Jennifer Wells, Mary Ann and Michael Roselli, Terri and Peter
Fazio worked at the welcome tables.
