Hello everyone!! We are Barb and Greg Nelsen. Transplanted New Yorkers, we have been members of St. Mary Magdalen Parish since the fall of 1986. Married in New York in 1973, we are blessed today with 4 grown children and one grand daughter.

We learned the Natural Family method in the Archdiocese of New York five years after we were married and became instructors in the method two years later. We taught there till a job transfer brought us to Florida. After settling into the Orlando area, we started working with the Orlando diocese witnessing to NFP at all Pre-Cana and Engaged Encounter weekends. When there became a need to teach a program in the Diocese, we help start the one which is currently being presented here.

It has been a blessing for us to talk to couples, teach them this approach, and help them see the joys and benefits it can bring to their relationship. Over the years since we moved to Florida, St. Mary Magdalen Parish has become a very special part of the life of our family. Besides this ministry in Natural Family Planning, Greg is a member of the Knights of Columbus and an usher while Barbara is a minister of the Eucharist. Together, we have been part of the Community Fest Core Committee for many years.
