Annette & Gary Moskop Ministers at Large

 

Hi! My name is Annette Moskop and I am elated to be a part of the Family Life Commission. I'm a native of North Syracuse, New York, who moved to Winter Park in January 1971, and joined St.Mary Magdalen in 1974.

I met my husband, Gary, on a blind date in July of 1976. At the time I was living in Maitland and he was living in Jacksonville. Despite having a long distance courtship, our relationship grew and we were married at St. Mary Magdalen on July 24, 1978. Fr. Bill Newman officiated. This new year we will celebrate our 27th Anniversary. Each of us is blessed with a daughter from a previous marriage and now have one granddaughter, Ashley, now 16.

Gary and I are active in our parish in numerous ministries. I'm a member of St. Luke's Circle of the Council of Catholic Women, captain a booth at Community Fest, Eucharist Minister, CCD teacher; and Christ Renews Our Community retreat team member. I am also a travel agent (owner of Vacations by Annette) and have organized numerous faith based and family oriented cruises and retreats with Catholics from SMM as well as all around the United States. Under the direction of Fr. Ed Thompson and Deacon Henry Libersat, we have traveled the world and brought the light of Christ to many. They have been wonderful opportunities to get to know our fellow Christians in a special way.

I deeply care for good marriages, strong families, and especially for the betterment of children. Without strong families, our children suffer! I hope to listen, learn, and follow my heart as to where the Lord might lead me in this ministry area.
