Hello! We are Paul and Terry Bouchard, one of two coordinator couples for the group "The Honeymooners" - for those married under five years. Long time Orlando residents, we both moved here following our college days. Paul is a Florida Seminole and Terry is a Florida Gator. With such backgrounds, is there any doubt that we really must be in love! We met through a mutual friend who got us together on a blind date in 1995. While there was not an immediate connection on the first few dates, a conversation about God led us to become familiar with each other's hearts. From then on, the relationship was fast and furious. We dated a little over a year and were married in 1997 at St. Mary Magdalen. When we got married Paul was Catholic and I was Presbyterian. After many lengthy conversations and a huge leap of faith, I attended the RCIA program at the church. It was a year of unbelievable spiritual growth which culminated in confirmation in the Catholic faith at the Easter Vigil. I would rate the experience as one of my top five! We currently have two children and even though this is a tiring endeavor, we both enjoy being parents of toddlers. We as a family regularly attend SMM and believe that the spiritual component of our children's development is vital. One of the ways we want to show our children how God's love works in through our marriage. We deeply believe in our commitment to each other, God, and our Church. When we were offered the opportunity to facilitate this young marrieds group, we happily accepted. Our newly formed "Honeymooners Group" has been a real delight. The group conversation is generally very open, encouraging, and at some times quite humorous as the couples realize that we all have many similar issues! We have found that the group really desires to strengthen their marriages while at the same time, enjoying and forming terrific new Christian friendships.
