Affiliation: each parish that has a CCW is an “affiliation”.  See Deanery and Diocese.

CCW Circle: because the SMM-CCW is so large, we broke up into manageable groups called circles.  Originally, each neighborhood surrounding SMM was a circle, but that has changed.

CCW Deanery: there are 7 CCW Deaneries that make up Orlando Diocese CCW: Northern, Central, Eastern, Western, Southern.

Communion Breakfast: a festive breakfast that follows the 8am Mass, usually scheduled in September.  Each of the commissions and circles are introduced and we usually have a guest speaker.

Community Fest Grants: As a parish ministry, the CCW and CCW Circles have the opportunity to earn grant money through their work at the Community Fest.  Requests for these grant monies are due in June, and the members of the ministry are required to document the hours worked at the Festival.  This is a great way to minimize the other fundraising done by the ministries.

Executive Meeting: a business meeting for the executive board, though every CCW member is always invited to attend.

Gold Room: one of two meeting rooms in the Family Life Center, painted yellow/gold.

Lake Yale: this is an annual retreat presented by the Orlando Diocesan CCW.  The location is the Baptist Conference Center near Leesburg, FL.  It usually happens the first weekend of August, and seminars are given to educate and enrich every CCW member.

Lavender Room/Mother Teresa Room: this is one of the two meeting rooms in the Family Life Center.  It is painted lavender and honors Mother Teresa with a painting on the wall.

Madonna Plan Collection: After all masses on a May weekend, CCW members collect donations after mass to support women and children with nutritional needs.

Mini Bazaar: usually held the first weekend of December, various Circles have tables set up in the School cafeteria to sell gifts, baked goods, poinsettias, fair trade goods, etc

National CCW: nationwide organization that supports the CCW at every level (diocesan, deanery and affiliation)

Newcomer’s Social: usually scheduled in August, the CCW uses this event to invite ladies who might be interested in what the CCW is and does.

Orlando Diocesan CCW: the level of the CCW that incorporates all parishes in the Orlando Diocese.

Time and Talent Festival: On an annual basis, SMM’s 100+ ministries display their information. Parish members are encouraged to tour the FLC and think and pray about which ministry they’d like to help with. The following weeks parishoners are asked to sign up.
