Dear Members,
Now that Christmas is over and you have
hopefully been able to put your decorations
away, I hope you will take a moment during
this new year on the blessings you have been
given and on the countless blessings God
will provide for you in this new decade,
Since our next meeting will not be until
Jan. 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the Gold Room, I
want to pass on some information which was
covered at the meeting.

500 Club raffle tickets are available
for $ 10.00. See Valerie Callan if you
would like to purchase them.

Pathways to Care is in need of bath
towels. Please drop them at the Parish
Office and Laura Anderson will collect
them and take them to Pathways.

Bags of Hope is in need of men’s and
women’s clothing in large sizes. Please
contact JoAnn Schmid or Debbie String if
you can help.
Please don’t forget about Auction! Your
participation is vital for its success.

November Angel of the Month:
It is with great pride that we recognize
Helen Ferrera as November Angel of the
Month. Angels are given $50 to donate to
the charity of their choice. If you would like to nominate

Night of
Dreams Auction
Cheryl Powers and the Auction
Committee have been working non-stop
to make our Parish Auction the best
ever. Tickets were mailed out, but
if you are still in need please
contact Cheryl Powers. Checks
should be made payable to CCW and
can be turned in at the Parish
Office. Please support this
historical event by attending,
donating items for the silent
auction or advertising in the

Church Commissions (positions held by CCW members)
Church: Expands the way we look at our faith by leading the Council in programs of
study and action in the area of scripture, liturgy and ecumenism. This commission works
to reinforce faith and provide resources for spiritual nourishment and development of
the faith community.
Family Concerns: Assists families in achieving Christian principles in those areas
that pertain to the welfare of families, women and children’s health, and well-being
issues. Its programs are concerned with child and parent education, preservation of
family unity, care for the aged, and religion in the family.
Community Concerns:
Involves the members and all people in
working to answer the needs and concerns of
their individual communities. Its programs,
determined by local needs, includes such
areas as housing, minority concerns,
environmental concerns, Respite, safety,
literacy, education, and work for all.
International Concerns:
Promotes responsibility for the world
community through the conviction that our
wealth and resources must be shared with all
people. Its programs create awareness and
action is concerned with peace, education
for international understanding,
international relief and development, and
works of peace and justice.
Legislation: Encourages
every Catholic woman to register and vote;
provides information about legislative
matters, and the “How To” methods of taking
action which influences legislators. In
other words, it helps individual people and
groups to become more politically effective.
Organization: Acts as a
service bureau and gives supportive services to
the other five commissions, officers, and Circle
chairs. Its services include organizational
development, membership, training activities,
public relations, and publications.
